ADA TOWNSHIP — An Amway Corp. manufacturing line has restarted production this morning after eight employees were taken to area hospitals and treated for breathing difficulty caused by a release of powder in the plant, company officials said.
The workers were treated and released and did not suffer significant injury, said Mike Larabel, Amway’s chief of fire protection.
Larabel said a dust collector clogged and was being cleaned about 6:15 a.m. when several workers complained of respiratory problems.
There were 40 employees in the area, where laundry detergent and dishwashing soap are manufactured. Authorities did not consider the chemicals toxic and there was no danger outside the plant at the company’s 7575 E. Fulton St. headquarters.

Energy drinks market set to double in next two years | mydigitalfc.com
The energy drinks market in India is expected to double in size over the next couple of years as a host national and international players venture into the segment. The market for such drinks is expected to double in size to Rs 1,000 crore over the next two years from Rs 500 crore presently.
Energy drinks in India till a year back were dominated by players such as Rhino’s, Bullet, Cloud 9 and Red Bull among others has suddenly spruced. Sales, however, started picking up post the entry of established players such as Pepsi and Amway.
Pepsi has been marketing its energy drink SoBe since November last year while Amway XL has been around for nearly seven months now. Red Bull and Power Horse, who have been around for a couple of years now, perhaps were the only existing players to be marketing such products aggressively.
Amway believes that the fun drinks such as colas segment has declined by five per cent in the last two years. “With the positive changes in the perception of health and fitness in India, we foresee a huge potential for supplementary drinks like XL,” William Pinckney, managing director & chief executive officer, Amway India told Financial Chronicle.
Amway sells health drinks under the Amway XL label which comes in two flavours — Citrus Blast and Tropical Blast, priced at Rs 450 for a pack of six.

My former upline in Amway/Quixtar is bankrupt….
Amquix.info:

World Wide Dreambuilder’s Triple Diamond and former IBOAI board of director Greg and Laurie Duncan have been in
bankruptcy court since Sep. 11 2007! A site visitor notified me of the bankruptcy after checking up on their numerous houses that were in foreclosure last year.
The Duncan’s listed assets of $63 million and debts of $8.4 million. Despite having millions in net worth, the Duncan’s cannot service all their debts.
The Duncan’s owed $1.7 million to the IRS for back taxes and penalties and $452,000 to the State of Montana for back taxes.
In April of 2008, the Duncan’s filed a reorganization plan and disclosure statement under court sealing that was later unsealed when it went into Chapter 7.
Supposedly $9 million of Duncan’s cash got drained away in a lawsuit over the rights to sell he XS energy drink. I obtained documentation of a suit involving the XS energy drink brand with a company called Cetalon. Cetalon claimed it was given marketing rights for the XS brand and was suing for its piece of the pie after Quixtar became a major buying. Greg Duncan was named as a defendant, and Cetalon went bankrupt when it lost the case.
All the bankruptcy documents are public record on Pacer.
