This is is something new from World Wide Dreambuilders. In the past when someone left or a divorce took place, the M.O. was to ignore the issue and pretend that the people involved did not exist.
Today, WWDB posted the following about Brad and Leslie Wolgamott:
New Horizons
As we all know, life is always changing. Presently Brad Wolgamott is seeking to add value to people outside the World Wide Dreambuilders system while Leslie continues to work with World Wide Dreambuilders in building a great future. The nature of their relationship has changed, but they have an amazing story from their past.
My (and my wifes) thoughts and prayers go out to Brad and Leslie.

Amway saves marriages? Is it confirmed that the Wolgamott’s got divorced?
I believe he may have been one of the diamonds who taught that Amway saved marriages and/or that couples building a business together have a 2% divorce rate comapred to 55% in the US.
But hey, maybe Brad is exceptional and falls into the 2% category?
2% baloney
wwdb has had many divorces

lets see w/20 diamonds it sounds more like 25%
ummmmm wwdb has ALOT more then 20 diamonds. i agree it may be above 2% … but if you are going to try to make a statement to ‘slam’ something you RAELLY need to get your facts a little bit more accurate then to say something so stupid like “with 20 diamonds” they are WAY over 20. there is more then that just on the current speaking arena alone. i think Brad Wolgamott is a great man, divorce or not. he inspired me in life. we all make huge mistakes in life. its sad and i do feel bad for his wife and children. but at the same time it dosent make the things he said any less true about going after ones dreams. it just might mean that people may want to think twice before following everything about the way he lived. but it DOES NOT mean wwdb is a bad orgainzation or that amway dosent work. i havent been an active memeber of wwdb in years. im just now starting back up with it. and to find out a diamond upline from me is now divorced and, from what i can tell, no longer with worldwide dream builders… well it makes me sad. but i wont disscount a word he has said about living life to the fullest or following ones dreams. if one can think for themselves and has half a brain, they can figure out the difference between someone doing something wrong (like cheating on ones wife) and speaking inspirational truths. they can also figure out that with or without divorces in the amway/wwdb business, there still are many people whos marriages have actualy strengthend from being around the wwdb group of people. personaly i dissagree with my fair share of how some of the diamonds think. i ask my self some times… maybe that is why i am not a diamond yet… another part of me looks forward to one day telling it the way i see it. the fact remains… at least someone such as Brad Wolgamott did something with his life … how many people at YOUR work, or in your field of business do you know who have cheated on their wives or are divorced yet have NEVER bothered to reach out to another human being (or at least very few other human beings) to say “hey i care about your future and well-being” … so stop talking crap about someone who has actualy made a bit of a ddifference, just because they have some issues still in their lives.
Where are these WWDB Diamonds? Quite frankly, WWDB has been a miserable failure in breaking diamonds since the early 90′s. I count 28 current Diamonds. That is fewer diamonds than they had in the 90′s.
Dudes, the 2% is taken from Platinum level or higher. Being that there are 2300+ Platinum and above businesses in Brad Duncan’s organization alone, I think 2% may be fairly accurate. Either way, even if the number was 25%, compare that with the divorce rate in our country: well above 50% last time I checked, so 25% doesn’t look so bad anymore, does it? And Ty, don’t you think your opinions are a little lame, when you badmouth one business to promote your own? That’s pretty sad, dude. Haven’t you ever learned any sales etiquette? If you have to disparage another product in order to promote yours, either your product sucks or you suck at sales. Good day.
1. No way Brad Duncan has 2300 Platinums.
2. I think I am entitled to share my opinion about WWDB after 10 years in the business.
3. Show me some results from WWDB and I will gladly post them. No diamonds = no results = Bad Business.
Okay. Opinions are like elbows we all have them. Let’s talk facts.
10 years in the business. Great what does that mean? Does that mean you are an expert? Does that mean you have credibility. Please explain.
First.
1. You are correct you have the right to your opinion. That’s the great thing about this country. We can agree to disagree.
2.In the last 3 years they have broken a US diamond a year.
1.Tracy and Kimberly Eaton
2. Nam Duek Kim(now in Double Diamond Qualification)
3. Wo bo Shinn.
Next question please.
Addition to last post.
Jay Lee.
That’s 4 diamonds and above in 3 years.
4 Diamonds in 3 years out of 100,000 IBO’s? Seriously?
I believe you call it fruit on the tree. WWDB has very little fruit. I remember 6 or more diamonds breaking in a year in the 90′s. (Now all of them are gone)

Ty, I really question your motives on this site. I’m sure someone could did up plenty of dirt if your MLM grew to a significant size. Large companies have people in them. People make mistakes and fail. Maybe you haven’t. Should be have a Ty Blog and scrutinize your life. My point is this — if your negative posts caused someone to lose their dream, would that bring a lot of joy to your life? Do you think you’re doing anyone a favor by having this website? I think what goes around comes around and you, my friend are going to get what’s coming to you. If you only posted the positive things that come from the Amway business, you’d have a thriving site that would enhance peoples lives. What if no one made any money in the Amway business but just became a better person? Well, that would be better than most people’s jobs. And you know that everyone that treats their Amway business like a business makes money. (Translate – they build a balanced business with retail and sponsoring) Stop being a well-poisoner.
Amway is flat out one of the worst compensation plans in Network Marketing. That’s not just my opinion, that is also the opinion of experts like Len Clements. Google him. I spent 10 years in Amway, listening to the leaders in WWDB tell everyone it is the best business out there. When in reality the business isn’t Amway/Quixtar at all. It is the tools and training. Then WWDB claims to be this world class leadership company and they have had 7 new diamonds in the last 10 years. They are going backwards!
Now, Brad Wolgamott was my absolute favorite speaker in WWDB. But he is human and a sinner like the rest of us. I pray for him and his family.
I respect my hero Brad Wolgamott, but just wondering?? Have any1 know how his new girl look? Is she pretty and young?
I love you Brad! Please forgive me asking these silly questions.
Ty, don’t forget Dave Shores foreclosure in Whitefish … it always seemed wierd when all the sudden he up and moved to Provo UT (out of what seemed like nowhere) .
Actually it was around 2006 that I really began questioning the WWDB leadership. Couple points:
-They used to say that everyone that went to the River twice would be diamond within 2 years. Never happened
-Puryear comes out with a program for everyone under DBL Diamond to go DBL Eagle on top of their current business. Dave Shores stated at all the majors that he had 400 contacts that he was working through with this new Hawkins/Tech approach. Anyway, not a single diamond could get the DBL Eagle done.
-Then Duncan builds and buys a bunch of new land and whatnot after his personally owned XS product took off. (Later we findout he owned all that stuff on a interest only loan) Anyway, we didn’t have the oppt to sell our personal products through the LOS.
-Hawkins then finds a product to invest in and push on the LOS, Perfect Water.
I watched Seattle go from 4 regionals to 2 from 2002-2006. FED in Portland used to fill the Rose quarters, now they put the big black curtains over the top row and the stage sits further in the middle of the stadium. They probably don’t even use the facility anymore.
Whats up with Puryear selling “The River House”????
Hawkins and Duncan two short term thinkers. 2 preachers that always told everyone to think long term. Well Hawk your short term thinking lost you a diamond but more lost you your soul.. Money can always be made but once you lose your rep/soul/integrity… you lost everything..
Greg, mr doubleminded (always would tell preach at the majors not to be double minded)..
youve used gods name in vain and now the hand will wipe the table clean
I used to think that Amway was such a profitable business. It actually is highly profitable if you are in the CD selling, function selling, book selling and website selling business like WWDB. Add to the profitable CDs is that useless Premier Membership. The website was so embarrassing. I would never send a customer to something so pathetic. All of this for $50 a month! I build websites and host unlimited sites for $4.95 a month. If you want to do something cool, build an affiliate site with Amazon and they will charge you nothing!
Look at the Diamond leadership. Ron and Georgia Lee are chain smokers. yes, this is verifiable! A good percentage of the diamonds are over weight. The divorce rate among diamonds is staggering. Ummm..let’s see …Howie Danzik, David Shores, Dean Kosage, Frank Radford, Paul Miller, (used to do functions with WWDB), Brad Wolgamott, and I am sure there are more. I know, diamonds are human too.
Amway is the only online business that does not allow the people creating the business to use the Internet! How sad.
It’s amazing how some people can be so critical of other people’s imperfections just because these people that are criticized have done something significant in their life, one way or the other.
It’s not a company’s or a group of people’s (such as Diamonds) fault on however many they are in that elite association. The problem is there are “not enough” men who are “man” enough to step up in their life and work hard to be called a Diamond in the Amway business model.
Who cares about what Diamonds have earned, what they’re selling, what they’re going through or if they’ve messed up or not.
The question is what have “you” truly done significant in your life all these years where you’re noticeable enough to be criticized? It’s natural to be judged if you’re in the public eye. Diamonds become that because no one becomes a Diamond without investing time on others.
Maybe sometimes it’s just better to remember that scene in Bambi where the the little bunny was reminded by his mom … “If you dont have anything good to say, dont say anything at all.”
Bottom line is, no one is perfect. NO company is perfect. No organization is perfect. And I hope before someone condems anyone or anything, they have looked in the mirror and honestly admit that they are not even close to perfect themselves!
Now, I don’t have a job, I am a full time dad with a six-figure income in Network Marketing so I have been known to talk about jobs as well, but the Amway/WWDB plan (at least as taught by Brad Duncan) is to spend an hour (or more) of the meeting criticizing jobs. When I was in WWDB, personally sponsored by a diamond, I heard a lot about “fruit on the tree”…well now you are seeing some of the fruit.
ummmm has any one of you actualy read the truth about the greg duncan bankruptcy event? i have … look at the real court documents. if you take the time and effort to do this, and study it in depth, then you will see that Greg didnt loose everything, he simply took out an insuance policy against the possible loss of a court case he ended up winning. and even IF he had lost 9 million (the amount of the bankruptcty insurance filed) then he would of still made out big time with his 63 million in assets all of which he still possesses. ummm how ignorant are you people who just post stuff that you have never looked into. and how smart does one have to be to figure out that if Greg has 63 million in assets (still all of whcih he posseses) and he has only been in amway for 20 years, then wow, it must work. even if he lost it all today, that only says he messed up not that amway dosent work. you are a fool… not for posting your opinion, but for not being willing to look into the facts. if you knew the facts and then said amway sucks, well more power to you. but you dont know the facts or you would not be posting stupidity about greg duncans suposed bankrupty over a court case he eventualy won. walmart gets sued all the time. they have huge insurance policies to prevent the ownership from looseing everything… it dosent mean they are going out of business. and by the way. am i the only one here not afraid to post my full real name? what are you people scared of?
Of course Greg Duncan and Brad Wolgamott are human. But as it turns out, they are also two of the biggest hypocrites I have even seen. I saw Brad Wolgmott preach about Amway saving marriages and how business builders never get divorced.
I saw Greg Duncan literally say it was stupid for anyone to make a loan, even for a home because of the interest that is paid. Then we find otu he has an interest only loan, possibly the worst kind of loan. His bankruptcy is also significant when he was passing himself off as a financial guru.
By the way, these two diamonds were also the ones who said on stage that NOBODY profits from the sale of tools, when I was an IBO over ten years ago.
BTW Kevin, the 63 million that Greg Duncan listed, I believe it was a self declaration. In any case, he is unable to pay for his monthly expenses. That is worse than simply being “broke” isn’t it?
I totally agree with Marie. She has it right on, there is an extreme lack of “men” in this country and standing up for doing what is right. ‘Cmon folks, regardless of all of the personal stuff that goes on in peoples lives, let’s look at Amway Global as a company and their business model. No other company can touch their track record and duplication compensation model. You guys and gals know, their business model works 100% of the time even if you just brush your teeth, wash your dishes, and put lotion on your face! If everyone had a downline of 1,000 people just doing that, we all would be giving away money to people who need it more than us!
Ummmm Kevin… if I am not mistaken, the foreclosures have taken place. Greg Duncan lost 5 different properties in Whitefish. Further, he is still in bankruptcy, and many of the assets he had are gone. In fact, he was recently served papers for removing quite a bit of property from their main Whitefish home, against the orders of the bankruptcy court. It is also interesting to note that all of the properties he had were mortgaged heavily. The fact is, the Duncans had way too many bills, and not enough income to cover them. The energy drink lawsuit just pushed them over the edge. The reality is, the incomes of the Diamonds is going downnnnnn downnnnnn downnnnnnn… enrollment is downnnnnn downnnnnnn downnnnnnnn the number of qualified diamonds is going downnnnnnnn downnnnnnnnn downnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Diamonds in WWDB and every other organization in the country are jumping ship right and left. Amway Global is a sinking ship, and there aren’t enough life rafts to go around.
Oh… Brad Duncan does not have 2300 downline platinums…. that is assinine. As a crown with 20 direct or higher legs, he would have to have 115 qualified platinums in each of those legs. Nonsense. A quick look at major function attendance would tell you that, with the average direct selling 15 to 20 tickets to a major function, they would have over 30,000 people per major – in Brad Duncan’s business alone. FED’s are only averaging 4,000 people last I heard. I doubt there are 2300 QUALIFIED platinums in the entire Amway Global business combined.
Well guys, you know as well as anyone, there are many businesses that fail and many business men and women who start over and build it back up again. That is what is so incredible about Amway Global, you can do that. Have you never made a bad financial decision in your career? I sure have and I am learning from it. What is your opinion about Abraham Lincoln? Look at his failures! I do know for a fact that Brad has millions of dollars in the bank, and can live through bad times for quite some time. I also know that WWDB Diamonds work together and help each other out, and I would not be surprised if that is what they are doing for Greg. Let’s show some grace and wish them the best. Do you also hate the DeVos and VanAndel families for building a world wide company that gives an opportunity to everyone?
This has been an interesting read to say the least. I know if you are a rep you are passionate about your business, leaders and company. You should be. I know if you are a former rep you are educated and knowledgeable about what is wrong with the Amway model. I understand both sides. I searched my own work ethic, skill set, etc to find out if it was just me and the result was that there was nothing wrong with my skills, or work ethic. Turns out I wasn’t the only person not making money in this business. I proved it wasn’t me by going and making a six figure income with another company in under a year. With Amway I never made more than a few hundred a month for 5 consecutive years of hard work.
I, like most people in the Amway model were not making money. Your leaders have to tell you anything to keep you there. They truely believe that the new systems that they come up with or products that they launch will help you make more money. They believe that their training systems will have a big impact on you personally and professionally and will result in bigger checks. They are motivational for sure. The results are what matter. I ask you to look at your check, ask yourself if you worked hard, look at your expenses to run your business and then see if it is worth your time.
Every business has its cycle. The Amway business in North America has been done growing for many years. It had a great run but it is over. In the beginning years of the business is when virtually all of the Diamonds and above where born. The results of new Diamonds being born since then has been null.
My opinion is just an opinion. It is based on factual knowledge and first hand experience of multiple years. They have great products that are overpriced but they are great products. They have a dinosaur pay plan that the new person will never make money at. It is virtually impossible for anyone without international connections and resources to make it big in the Amway business today. And because of the handcuffs that they put on your marketing virtually guarantees financial failure.
As for divorce, bankruptcy, etc. I could care less. It doesn’t happen to people who put God first, marriage first, and make smart financial decisions. If you don’t put God and your wife first you will get divorced. No wife will take being third on the list forever. If you don’t make sound financial decisions and create debt for yourself and your family then you will pay on it forever or go bankrupt. Guaranteed!
Lastly if you want to make money in the home business industry you should look for companies that have strong marketing, strong pay plans, have products that are fresh, new and exciting, and are fairly new as a network marketing company. Remember, the people making all the money in Amway started a long time ago!
Best wishes to all that read this and good luck in your business career.
Eddie Holford
Eddie Holford… i respect the fact you gave your real name… i am sorry you didnt make it in the Amway model. i truly love it … and the products. i dont think it is only about selling cd’s, functions… etc… i think there is so much value in every aspect of the Amway business. i am unimpressed with one thing lately … and that is the fact that wwdb has cut out Bill Britts name and Brad Wolgomottes name from most all of their cds… that makes me sad… even if Bill said some rash things or isnt involved much anymore… or if Brad messed up in his personal life i DONT think in any way that makes his prior teaching about how to build the business or Bills teaching about attitude, any less true… i am saddened about the way this issue is being handled… however… i still believe it is the best system… and i wouldnt trade the high quality products for anything. i dont make alot of money in the business but i am showing the plan 3-4 nights a week every week and doing follow up meetings every week. i have one 6000 pv leg downline from me who use to be my business partner in a ‘conventional’ business selling hottubs. i sponsered him then went full time into being a dj and a party person. i lost site of my vision for my life… but recently it returned to me when i begin building my amway business… both myself and my girlfriend are so focused… we know we will be Diamonds with the proper work habbits… we live a pretty unconventional life. and we believe with all our hearts that becoming ‘World Wide Dream Builder’ Diamonds will allow us even more freedom and choices to be the people we wish to be… i dont agree 100% with everything i see… but i believe 200% in the passion each of the Diamonds and leaders in wwdb have built their business with.
Kevin & Ashlie
I am sorry to hear about the demise of Brad, Brad and Greg, and Ron. However, they had their time and made their decisions. I think any of these businesses can work but you have to be cut throat or it won’t. You can disguise it with Chritianity or religion or both and state that if you are not with me you are against me. I made my effort to no avail however I still like the products very much so I maintain my membership for such. No different than Costco or any other business that charges a fee for membership. I certainly was skeptical of how money was made but it still was legit and I tried. I just wasn’t a slick enough salesman to do so. I guess I am lucky I didn’t lose as much as they have. I made it to 4000 pin. Income and deductions were good but not lasting unless you had one of the diamonds to back and support your effort. Like any other business I have seen it is base on who you know not what you know. Until they make it illegal this business will continue and we will still here the sucess and unsuccessful stories. I see it everyday in the news. If your lucky you can make it and live well for some time but you had better plan well ahead because as those of us who have been there are seeing devasting results of bad decisions. I can say at least they had their 15 minutes. I’m a casulty of this and making my way back and I can at least I am young enough to reach retirement.
Goocheesh – your story makes me sad. i dont think Ron, Brad, Brad, and Greg have lost it at all… i think it is as simple as some people have made mistakes. if you idolize people as perfect then you will always be dissapointed. you said you made it to 4000pv and it didnt last… were you counsoling upline as you built it? i sure hope the best for you in the future… but why did you give up? are you working on anything else to bring you your dreams? “retire” you mean the conventional way? just curious. hope to hear back from you.
Kevin Curphey if you knew wwdb you would say they are the biggest critics.. so its only natural that their people woould also be critical… if wwdb cant take it then they should not dish it out
Sean, do you know what Brad is doing now?
If Brad didn’t teach that Amway saves marriages, this would not be an issue.
If Greg Duncan didn’t call people stupid for taking out mortgages, then he wouldn’t have lookd stupid for having HIS mortgages foreclosed.
Can you say hypocrites?
Ty,
Ron Puryear alone, has a huge business in Korea alone, Leonard Kim’s. I think Amway doesn’t even have a name for the unbelievable size of Leonard’s business – 100s of Diamonds & higher. Research it. Worldwide is all over the world, not just the meager Diamonds you’ve heard of in the U.S.
So think of the real picture before you talk about divorce stats.
Best wishes,
~ Truth
It’s sad, for the Worldwide people, no matter the size of their business, who don’t tell/be the truth of who they are. The truth comes out their pores anyway. People feel it. You just read the writing on the wall. Years ago, from all the other hurtful words & behavior some Diamonds felt free to say/do, you could tell they were fakes. Actually, mixed bags, like everyone. They had helpful things to say/do & they had hurtful. We can take the helpful, leave the hurtful. And not buy into “better-than/worse-than,” “more-than/less-than in people.
You can always judge a tree by it’s fruit. A bad tree bears bad fruit. Worldwide people in error (sin) in any area we can see, like arrogance/pride, lies, facades/dishonesty, unloving behavior to anyone, not transparent, damaging their bodies…are teaching us. We all always teach, those around us – how NOT to be, or how TO be.
But WE choose our lives. Live, & let live.

You guys crack me up. Its almost funny what most of you are saying that is negative. How many multi millionaires go online and blog negatively about companies. O and Mr. ” I make six figures in another business” you are the funniest of all. First of all I hope that makes you feel better, bashing Amway and saying how great your company is. In ten years your company probably won’t exist. over 100 MLM businesses have failed since 2003. Why? Because there is no depth to the model. Its one product or service, that is based on sigining people up so I can make a quick 100 dollars. I’m not saying thats how yours works, I’m just saying thats how most work. I don’t really need to defend this business because everyone typing negatively will probably go to work tomorrow, and make somewhere between 20 and 30 grand this year at there job. Congrats! My diamond in Amway was making 300 grand 2 years ago, and now is making more than double that. This business is backed by the Better business bureau, the FTC, The US Chamber of Commerce, BIll Gates, Robert Kiyosaki, John Maxwell, Olympians, celebrities, etc, etc, etc. You are literally shooting spit wads at my battleship. O and btw there is a 98 percent and 2 percent even in this business. Meaning 2 percent of people work hard and make it work, and 98 percent voted for Obama and want to get something for free without working hard. Good for you guys. American needs broke people that whine and complain and you will make great ones. O BTW World Wide Dream Builders bases its entire organization on Faith and Integrity. It doesn’t view people as dollar signs but rather as people that can better their lives and that can become the men and women God created us to be. Everyone on hear that “used to be in” the biz and quit are just saying their negative comments because if others go and succeed now it will make them look foolish. O and when you say more diamonds were created in the 90′s then today, you are correct. In America. Not internaionally. Because most Americans are lazy and go on blogs and type false things about something they Tried and quit. I have never seen a business that could influence more people for God’s Kingdom, nor a business that offers this type of compensation plan. It is # 1 in industry don’t kid yourself. It is FTC approved. Take care guys.
I’m not sure where to start, but I’ll try here:
Amway is NOT backed or approved by the FTC, BBB or Bill Gates.
No one is advocating something for nothing. however I am an advocate for the truth.
Good point Ty. Amway is NOT backed by the FTC or the BBB or Bill Gates.
Even if they were, it would not mean that Amway or being an IBO in Amway is a good way to make a buck anyways.
The love of money is teh root of ALL evil
I always thought brad Duncan was a really cool guy when i was in his organization 1990′s… Brad was and still is a winner. I hated the Christianity and Money stuff, however. I think they twisted God’s word in the worst way. There is nothing wrong with making a good living, but money, possessions and wealth appeared to be their gods. I still love old brad, i think he was a good dude.. i hope He finds the Christ of the Bible, one day.. Julie was a sweet heart as well.
